iSolutions are seeking to appoint a Service Desk Analyst to join its front line support team providing first line support resolving minor technical issues and enquiries.
iSolutions is one of the largest departments within the University’s Professional Services, providing computing facilities, data communications and telephone services in support of all University activities, including learning and teaching, research, and University administration.
The Service Desk delivers a highly professional cutting edge IT support service to a diverse user community of over 25,000 University staff and students. We provide crucial first line support, responding to and tracking queries, troubleshooting within an ITIL based quality assurance environment.
This is an important customer facing role which also involves a high degree of interaction with many other teams across the department and the wider University business functions.
With a minimum of GCSE or equivalent in a range of subjects, you will enjoy operating as a successful and contributing member of a busy and dynamic department, working to extremely high standards and committed to achieving tight deadlines with high levels of customer satisfaction.
This role would ideally suit someone who has prior 1st line IT support experience, or someone with customer services experience with limited IT skills looking to begin a career in IT support.
The role does not require in-depth technical IT knowledge or experience, as the Service Desk provides a non-technical frontline service to our customers escalating more technical enquires to our 2nd or 3rd line support teams.
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service, time management, problem solving and communication skills in a customer focused environment.
